Carpet

We have carpet for every lifestyle, rooms where you live, entertain, sleep, work and play. Pick the room, and then choose a colour and style to lift your spirit. Carpet adds beauty, plus it is practical, durable and economical. We are here to assist you in choosing the right style for your unique tastes and specific needs. Choose carpet for the way you live. Focus on form and function. Master bedrooms, for example, have minimal traffic, so softer carpet and lighter colours are suitable. A plush, pastel carpet might be perfect in the living room, but impractical for a well-traveled hallway. In kids’ rooms, choose a texture, perhaps with a stain-hiding pattern. For stairs, foyers and other high-traffic areas, look at low pile, stain-resistant carpets. Bryston’s has a wide variety of carpets that look better and last longer for fabulous floors in every room in your home. Express the true you. Colour gives a room personality and establishes a mood while transforming space. Cool colours, such as blues, grays and violets, help us feel calm. Reds, yellows, and oranges lend excitement and make things feel cheerful and warm.

Natural hues found in nature are soothing and add a rich look. Color can visually redefine a room. Light colours make a room seem larger. Dark colours give it a cozier, more intimate feel. Colour plays a practical role. Dark coloured carpets cover up spills and stains better in high traffic areas. Light coloured carpets hide lint. Considering what the room is used for and how often, will help you make the right purchase.

Fibre Types to keep in mind when shopping for carpet.

  • Nylon is exceptionally durable and used for the majority of all carpets made.
  • Olefin (polypropylene) can’t be beat for colour fastness, it is extremely resistant to stains, yet it doesn’t have the resilience and lush feeling of nylon. Olefin is limited to specific conditions.
  • Polyester is a synthetic fibre and is soft to the touch. Some are more susceptible to oil based stains.
  • Wool is favoured by designers. Wool is the unequalled natural fibre, but it is the most costly and absorbs stains more readily.
